TNR Cruely Proof Of Concept (Feral Cats Can Be Tamed)
|
This is Yang Yang. I captured him from
the feral cat TNR colony my neighbor has
intruded upon the neighborhood which has
brought upon many problems to the neighborhood.
The neighbor hissed at me and told me
her cats could not be domesticated
(when I asked her to restrain her cats).
Meanwhile the neighbors cat farm has
expanded from 15 fixed cats to 40-50
mixed cats with some fixed and others
not. Her interaction with the wild
ferals is only to yell "Come on Babies"
when she puts the food out. Beyond the TNR nonsense
the more she puts out, the more cats came.
The spayed/neutered cats became less and
less in her colony as they were ran over
by cars or other means of death.
Her house is a TNR Program!
I have been demonized here because I
fenced in my property bordering hers
and leave my Rottweiler Maxx out.
He has been trained to kill unknown
cats. I, and other neighbors have been
put out almost 8000.00 in damages
because of her careless and wreckless
behavior. A neighborhood child was
attacked recently and was diagnosed with
"Cat Scratch Fever" and had to be hospitalized.
The police came today and fined her for animal
cruelty and her landlord has evicted her.
The cats are being captured to be euthanized.
The police officer referencing her
house said the whole place smelled like
"cat S**t. The landlord says he will
probably have to remove the interior
of the house because it was permanently
damaged from cat urine.
Yang Yang at first was very wild and
had never been touched by humans.Yang Yang
was 4lbs (malnourished)with fleas and ticks
and one year old when captured. I took him
to the vet and had his shots done and had him fixed
and cleaned up a lot.
After two months I have a very tame cat.
He walks on a leash, he responds to a
clicker and has begun learning to
fetch.
He responds well to all people, pets,
and is socialized to being taken
outdoors on a dog chain and harness
to play in the gr (supervised).
It is not as easy as taming/training a
dog but it can be done. As you can
see, he is very healthy around 13lbs.
If TNR people were truly humane they
would work with one of these
cats at a time until they could
be trained and adopted. Instead,
sadly they are more interested in
hoarding cats. I advocate training
cats in this manner and if people
do not wish or have time to do so
the animal should be humanely euthanized
as they are dangerous to people,
wildlife, property, and domesticated
pets.
I offered to show her how to domesticate
a feral cat in this manner but, she was
afraid of them and thought it was cruel
when they screamed from being handled
and snapping (She would burst into tears).
But, this must be done to get them used to
human interaction. I have used this
procedure to tame cats for 20 years
and it works every time.
What you hear in this video is me
using the clicker and he watches my
hand closely. This is only two months of work
on taming an adult feral.
