Shipwrecked - Episode 3

It's the third week the two tribes have been Shipwrecked. At last week's beach party no new arrival turned up, and the Tigers and the Sharks had to go home empty handed. As week three starts there's still no sign of the new arrival so island life continues as normal. It's been raining non-stop since the beach party, and both tribes are keen on keeping dry -- which means a week of weaving. On Tiger island Sophia and Fiona are annoyed that while they weave, Lianne, Lucy and Terri spend the day chilling out.On Shark Island, the cold, wet weather has had a devastating effect on 19 year old Joe Stone's pet chick, Geri, named after his heroine Geri Halliwell. Despite Joe's best endeavours the chick dies, and Stevie Thomas and Will Colin help a heart broken Joe bury his beloved pet.Just when they're least expecting it, the Tigers get a surprise new arrival. After failing to turn up at last Sunday's beach party 22 year old Amy Blackburn, a comedienne from Brighton, strolls into Tiger camp completely unannounced. The girls are surprised and thrilled to have another girl on their island, and immediately bond with the new arrival.While Amy is with the Tiger girls, the atmosphere on Shark island is tense. Self appointed leader Lorenzo decides everyone must weave ten roof panels daily in order to make their hut waterproof. Lorenzo isn't impressed by the end of day one when Will, Stevie and Joe have only done five each, and he comes to blows with Will about it.New arrival Amy has a great time on Tiger island, and it seems her decision is made before she's even met the boys. Amy surprises the boys in exactly the same way she surprised the girls, by just turning up in their camp. The boys are over the moon to have a girl on their island, and even start wearing deodorant in her honour! Amy's a hit with all the boys -- but one in particular takes her fancy -- 6ft 5 Shark Stevie.While Amy's with the Sharks, the Tiger girls crack on with building their hut. Fiery 19 year old Sophia from Scarborough and 23 old carpenter Terri from Peckham end up at each others throats when they discover a palm tree right in the middle of where they'd planned on building their hut. The constant bickering becomes too much for 18 year old boarding schoolgirl Lucy, and she considers defecting to Shark island.At Sunday's beach party, the two tribes come together once again to hear which island the new arrival will choose. But after making firm friends with the Tiger girls and falling for Shark Stevie, will Amy follow her head or her heart? And will Lucy have the nerve to nominate herself to change islands? And if all that wasn't enough the third new arrival comes ashore -- 23 year old Ben Cochrane, a university student from Scotland.
