The risk is greater when you buy used bc quite frankly you may buy something from a thrift store that was dropped off there bc A the people get a tax credit for dropping off things and B they don't have anywhere else to discard these items. If a home business is infected with these parasites it is extremely difficult to get rid of them YT has many videos on the subject you would want to take precautions to insure you are not introducing these parasites into your home. Steam kills the bugs and their eggs this works with fleas bed bugs scabies even just plain old bacteria that is on fabric. These bugs will infest a computer any item that has a place for them to get into watch the videos on them you will see what I mean. Bed bugs are not a dirty or clean thing they are a thing that is all they are critters that usually hitch a ride on people clothing suitcases groceries yes they can get these bugs you had better beware take steps to prevent infestation.
